Chief Brian A. Kyes announced today that Chelsea Police Detectives have returned Juan Antonio Santana, age 40 of Everett from Hartford Connecticut where he was placed under arrest by Hartford and Connecticut State Police as a Fugitive from Justice. Santana was wanted by Chelsea Police for the March 22nd stabbing of a 17 year old male at a Chelsea bar.
Chelsea Detectives working with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Section and the Suffolk County District Attorneys Office worked collectively to locate, arrest and arrange Santana’s return back to Chelsea where he will be Arraigned on Monday April 13th. Santana is expected to face several charges including, Assault to Murder.
Chief Kyes stated ” Our officers had information on Santana’s whereabouts and had been tracking him for days ” He added ” I thank the Connecticut authorities, Massachusetts State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorneys Office whom all played pivotal roles in Santana’s apprehension”
